Picture the Dream: The Story of the Civil Rights Movement Through Children’s Book Exhibition Design

Curated by Andrea Davis Pinkney, in partnership between the High Museum of Art and the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, the goal was to create an atmosphere that was inviting to children and families, while paying respect to the historic figures and stories of the Civil Rights Movement. Responsibilities included art hanging layout and combinations, gallery wall colors, typography choices, and mural design.

Picture the Dream toured the High Museum of Art (Atlanta, GA), The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art (Amherst, MA), New-York Historical Society (New York, NY),  Kansas Children’s Discovery Center (Topeka, KS)
