Elucid & Von Pea Dirtee Deacon (in T.S.O.Pea) Album Art

Year: 2021
Client: Blonde Medicine
Location: Peteluma, CA
Role:
Creative Director + A&R

Elucid’s lyrics create vivid worlds of conflict with society and self, and an unwillingness to bend to societal norms. This album art imagines the house of worship for the sermons of Elucid’s Dirtee Deacon. Using layered images from ancient places of worship and catacombs, the result is an inverted, chilling and cavernous temple that reads like the beginning of a bad dream.

Julie Mehretu Exhibition Graphic Design

Year: 2020
Presenter: High Museum of Art
Location: Atlanta, GA
Role: Exhibition Graphic Designer

The High’s headlining exhibition of 2020, the Julie Mehretu project included the large building banner designed in anticipation of the exhibition. Being that Julie Mehretu (named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People of 2020 by Time Magazine) works in abstract landscapes, I chose to lead with Dieter Rams’ ideology of “as little design as possible” as a way to create space where the artwork leads. Inside the gallery, my responsibilities included intro mural (created from a detail crop of Mehretu’s work)], intro text design, and section texts.
